The GWR series is using GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA/HSUPA wireless communications technology, in remote locations where no other way of physical connection is available.

Geneko Router main processor utilizes ARM technology. WAN connection to GSM and UMTS networks is provided by an integrated GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA/HSUPA module.

Communication to external devices is provided through Ethernet and RS-232 connection.

Geneko’s operation system is GNU/Linux. In addition to standard functions of a modern router such as static and dynamic routing functions, the GWR performs other advanced network router functions such as DHCP server, IP filtering, IP forwarding NAT/PAT translation, and more.

The overall router design enables great flexibility and adaptability. Various router models are available with support to one or two SIM cards thus enabling automatically transfers of communications to the other SIM card connection if communications is lost.

Typical applications:

  • Serial to Ethernet media converter – Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP
  • High Speed wireless connection
  • Machine to machine connectivity over GPRS EDGE, HSPDA or HSUPA
  • Connecting local area networks to the internet via wireless provider
