Digi's wireless XBee radios allow short range device connectivity in a broad range of applications.

These include low-cost, XBee 802.15.4 (Series 1) point to multi point radios and XBee Znet 2.5 (Series 2) Mesh networks for Personal Area Network (PAN) solutions. XBee radios are available in OEM embedded modules or off-the-shelf fully packaged configurations (modems, adapters, extenders) these radios enable fast and reliable wireless connectivity to local and remote infrastructure. Mesh networks incorporate the latest dynamic self-healing and self-discovery functionality, low-power sleep modes, and multiple interface options (modules, adapters, gateways), to enable cost-effective and robust end-to-end wireless connectivity to local and remote infrastructure

The XBee Series 1 XTender combines the strengths of the XBee-PRO™ Series 1 and XTend™ product lines to provide a long-range backhaul (up to 40 miles line-of-sight with a high-gain antenna) for low-power XBee Series 1 networks. The XBee Series 1 XTender effectively converts data between 2.4 GHz 802.15.4 and 900 MHz unlicensed

It is simple to configure the XBee Series 1 XTender to communicate with existing XBee Series 1 or XTend networks. Advanced configurations can be made by connecting to a PC via the on-board USB port.
